Renee Good & The Rise of Left-Wing Lawlessness
Roughly 5 years after 2020’s BLM riots, the streets of Minneapolis, Minnesota are once again ground zero for leftist rioting, this time in response to the death of Renee Good.
Renee Good was a wife, mother of three, and member of "ICE watch,” a group that coordinates illegal obstruction of ICE. On Wednesday morning, Good followed her training by steering her maroon Honda Pilot into ICE vehicles' path.
In response to Good’s actions, multiple agents stepped out, issuing verbal arrest and ordering her to step out of the Honda. As officials surrounded the SUV, Renee hit the gas. Agent Jonathan Ross was standing in front of the vehicle as its tires spun, struggling to grip the frozen pavement. When the wheels gripped, the Pilot lurched forward, striking Ross, who defensively fired three shots, killing Renee.

In the aftermath, liberal outlets rushed to publish misleading headlines framing Good as completely innocent. Meanwhile, conservatives painted her actions as attempted murder. Many neutral voices suggest that Good merely panicked in the face of arrest.
In reality, video evidence is too limited to conclusively prove Renee’s motives.
We do know that, prior to the interaction’s fatal ending, Good spent several minutes illegally impeding a US federal operation, and denied attempts by ICE at peaceful detainment. Regardless of her motives, her actions were reckless, and ICE acted in lawful self defense.
While the incident left many Americans stunned, one person was not surprised: Jonathan Ross.
Less than eight months ago, illegal alien and sex criminal Carlos Munoz used a vehicle to attack Agent Ross, leaving him with leg wounds requiring 33 stitches. In the past year alone, ICE agents suffered 66 vehicular assault incidents, constant death threats, and more than 270 real-life assaults.
ICE agents aren’t the only Americans staring down growing leftist brutality. According to CSIS Senior Fellow Dan Bynum, overall left-wing violence has risen significantly over recent years.
Charlie Kirk is dead.
Brian Thompson is dead.
Had things gone differently, President Trump and Justice Brett Kavanaugh would be dead too.
Beyond fatal assassinations, left-wing riots in LA, Portland, Chicago, and Minneapolis caused untold millions of dollars in economic damage and a multitude of casualties.
The left is lawless. The reason may not be what you think.
Many prominent conservatives misunderstand what drives the progressive left. In an interview with Tucker Carlson, Daily Wire's Matt Walsh argued wokeness grew from moral relativism, the rejection of distinctions between right and wrong.
According to Walsh, this moral relativism leads the left to reject anything based on Judeo-Christian beliefs, including American culture.
Walsh’s theory, shared by numerous others, is totally incorrect. Instead of drawing conclusions from the left’s actions, he mistakenly takes them at their word.
A leftist will say "live your truth," "draw on your lived experience," or "it's a culture thing." However, when faced with a person or event that disrupts their feelings, like Charlie Kirk, all that respect for "different truths" flies out the window at Mach 20.
“You’re a fascist pig!”
“Racist!”
“You’re evil!”
Bang.
Under moderate stress, the left's outer layer of academic beliefs and fluffy language peels away, revealing that the relativist schtick serves merely as a bludgeon to tear down America's institutions.
At their core, leftists strictly follow a deeply absolutist moral code:
All people are born completely equal in every meaningful trait
ie. Beauty, Intelligence, Capability of being an American
All Differences in human outcomes are caused by oppression
Any institution creating unequal outcome is oppressive, and must be destroyed
These moral commandments do not include “your experience,” “rights,” or “following the law.” Nor do they include truth, peace, or justice.
Instead of finding moral footing in The Bible or wisdom passed through generations, the left’s commandments rely on feelings of society’s weakest members: those who refuse to take personal accountability for their actions.
Ultimately, the left’s goal is to obtain power at all costs, which can then be used to impose their moral parameters onto the nation. Riots, assassinations, and inappropriate impeachments are mere methods by which power can be obtained.
Progressives rely on aggression as a key power source. For a decade, their belligerence stood unopposed in the public square. Right-wing intellectuals lost their reputations to left-wing browbeating, doxxing, and cancellation. Thousands of competent White and Asian employees lost jobs to unjust DEI programs.
But then, Trump arrived, and America rebelled.
The recent rise in leftist violence embodies the pained convulsion of a movement reeling from Donald Trump’s reelection. The soul of the progressive beast is wounded, thrashing angrily at whatever sits nearest: enemies, bystanders, or even its own adherents. Whether Renee Good intended to run over an ICE agent or not, her tragic death testifies that, like all flawed ideologies, wokeness devours those shaped by it.
In order to drive a final stake through the woke beast’s heart, the right must remember that the average Democrat is not a leftist. The average Democrat does not loot Foot Lockers and burn flags on the weekends. The average Democrat sits on their couch, eats nachos, and watches football.
A united front between Main Street Democrats and Republicans would create an overwhelming electoral majority. The right must be willing to, for the sake of our nation, compromise on non-critical issues. We must focus all efforts on victory over the left as opposed to any rigid set of doctrines or policy preferences.
The enemy is inside the gates. They are wounded, but must be fully defeated.
Our wallets depend on it.
Our nation depends on it.
Our lives depend on it.
