ABOUT THE FOUNDER: MICHAEL SUGIMOTO

Michael graduated from Pepperdine University in May 2025, where he served as Student Body President during his junior year. He was actively involved in campus leadership and became a strong advocate for free speech and America First values in the classroom.

His experiences showed him that many of his friends weren’t going to be the super-involved conservative voices who table on campus, debate politics in class, or post daily about their views.

They were the everyday students, athletes, Greek life members, business or STEM majors, the quiet middle child, who still loved their country, but lacked a platform that spoke their language.

This realization brought The Young Right to life: a platform he built to inspire and unite young conservatives around an American lifestyle and brand they can be proud of.

He understands that young people don’t want to read 20-page policy memos or sit through hours of congressional hearings. He believes in reaching Gen Z and Gen Alpha where they are: on their feeds, in their earbuds, and in their daily lives, with content that is relatable, honest, and conservative.

Michael’s ethos is simple: conservatism is more than politics; it’s a way of life. By making it cultural, aesthetic, and unapologetic, The Young Right inspires the everyday Gen Z conservative to step off the sidelines and into a movement that reflects who they are.
