What Happens When 5,200 Students Show Up for One Tailgate?

5, 200 Students, One Tailgate, and a Weekend to Remember at Ole Miss

There are some weekends that you simply don’t want to end. This was one of them.

The Grove was buzzing on Saturday, September 19, as Ole Miss prepared to take on LSU, and The Young Right was right in the middle of it all. What started as a tailgate quickly turned into a celebration of faith, football, and everything that makes college football Saturdays so special.

By the time the day was over, 5,200 students had come through The Young Right tailgate.

Five thousand two hundred.

The tent was packed from start to finish.

In partnership with the Phi Kappa Tau, Delta Gamma Chapter at Ole Miss, The Young Right brought an unforgettable pregame experience to campus, complete with food, giveaways, music, merchandise, and thousands of young people ready to make some memories before kickoff. And if you were anywhere near our tent, you knew exactly where the party was.

Students streamed through the tent all day to grab hot dogs, cookies, merchandise, and giveaways while spending time with The Young Right team and one another. There were plenty of smiles, plenty of conversations, and plenty of moments that reminded us why showing up matters.

Throughout the day, we had the chance to talk with students from all different backgrounds and hear what they had to say about The Young Right and the work we are doing to stand for God, family, and country. The feedback was overwhelmingly encouraging. Students were excited to see young people creating something that brings others together around values that matter.

And then there was Fox Nation, our incredible sponsor for the weekend.

Fox Nation helped take the tailgate to another level, bringing an exciting raffle that had students stopping by throughout the day. Their partnership helped make the entire experience even more fun, and we were incredibly grateful to have them alongside us.

Of course, no Ole Miss game day would be complete without a little friendly chaos, and our tent had plenty of it.

That is what made this weekend so special.

Although 5,200 students is a number we're incredibly proud of, it was the feeling behind it that was meaningful to the team. It was seeing thousands of young people laughing, talking, eating, celebrating, and coming together. When the energy online translates ten-fold in-person, you can’t help but have hope for this upcoming generation of conservatism. You can't beat a Saturday in the South, especially when it’s in The Grove.

We are incredibly grateful to Phi Kappa Tau at Ole Miss for welcoming us and partnering with us to make the weekend possible. We are extremely grateful to Fox Nation for sponsoring the event and helping create a tailgate that students won't soon forget.

And, most of all, we're grateful to the thousands of students who stopped by.

You brought the energy. You brought the smiles. You brought the spirit.

This was a weekend that reminded us of something simple: the next generation is here, they're paying attention, and they're ready to build something together. The hype around The Young Right isn’t simply social media virality; it’s a movement.

God. Family. Country.

And a little Hotty Toddy along the way!

We'll see you at the next one.
