From Your Plate to Your Lungs: The Silent Toxins Making Americans Sick

The Trump administration's latest dietary guidelines set a good tone for 2026, but the MAHA movement is calling for more steps forward.

In an overdue move, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. replaced the food pyramid that we have relied on since 1992 with an updated version. MAHA advocates are raving about the new and improved pyramid’s success.

On January 7, Kennedy inverted the pyramid: putting dairy, proteins, and vegetables at the top. The original food pyramid put an emphasis on carbohydrates, grains, and fats. Although those food groups are not automatically harmful, the ultra-processed items that now fall under those labels have degraded the nutritional value of carbs and grains.

Food is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to healthy living. Toxins surround us—in the air we breathe and in our everyday products.

Even if you do not use Round-up in your own yard, you are not necessarily in the clear. The fruits and vegetables you buy at the grocery store in order to make a healthier choice, oftentimes have already been infected with pesticides. In fact, Over 75% of non-organic produce items are exposed to pesticides.

We are, daily, consuming our own poison. Numerous studies have shown that this constant exposure to toxic substances have increased the risk of reproductive issues, cancer, respiratory problems, and ADHD.

Recently, the Supreme Court heard arguments on whether or not companies such as Bayer, a global chemical and pharmaceutical company, should receive immunity from lawsuits filed against them.

Bayer is aware of the harm their products might cause, yet they are unwilling to make the changes necessary. Due to the company's failure to educate their users on the possible side effects, Bayer has spent billions of dollars on over 100,000 claims

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has declined the need for a cancer warning on Bayer's products. Which has left Bayer defending their brand in court against a multitude of customers. The Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) and EPA are required to approve the product labels and yes, they approved it.

The Supreme Court has remained inconclusive on the case. Time is ticking on the verdict.

If the Supreme Court rules in Bayer’s favor, it will eliminate American citizens' ability to fight against these deadly pesticides. If, however, the Court recognizes and acknowledges the concerns that are impacting Americans nationwide, Bayer will be faced with thousands of injury lawsuits without the ability to hide behind the protection of their billion-dollar brand.

Bayer’s refusal to take action on their potential cancer-causing weed killer, has driven many within the MAHA movement to urge Robert Kennedy Jr. to escalate public awareness. Big Agriculture Corporations are responsible for the pesticides that are entering our systems and affecting our children daily.

Why are we failing society by not addressing the dangers of pesticides?

Grassroots advocates are pleading for action to be taken against these companies that so carelessly allow glyphosate and atrazine without regard for the health risks that come with.

Fighting for the American people means fighting against corporations that are exposing us to pesticides.

Vaccine requirements have dropped, the food pyramid has flipped — but the fight to Make America Healthy Again is far from over.

Honor God, nurture your body, and live well,
